My Little Lily

It took entire spring,
For a bee to retreat her desire,
And a pollen from a distance island,
Rested on her feet,
All that needed now was a shower,
And few extra rays with no filter.
There was a long wait,
For the buds to form its trait,
There were so many to flaunt,
But only few survived the storm,
The scary dusk was again on its way,
And something was needed, more than a pray,
It was a struggle against Mother Nature,
And the same nature, nurtured the mother.
There comes the dawn,
To unveil the propitious event,
With a push and a pull,
Breaking through the sheath,
Tiny little petals clink on its wing…
There wasn’t any cry or sigh,
Just a beautiful smile to gratify..
